Broke down 21.5 km from Port Kembla harbour on Thursday. Had to wait 2 hours for the CoastGaurd to arrive and get us. Then it took another 2 hours to tow us back as the max towing speed was around 12-14 km/h. Anyway, got back safely thanks to Bellambi Rescue Boat. These blokes are magnificent. Turned out to be the starter motor which was replaced with a new one in less than 4 minutes - 2 bolts for mounting and one nut for the electricals. The 9.9 from the tinnie will be mounted on an auxilliary bracket also. |
